When THE BLADE, the Toledo newspaper, decided to do some additional work on their employee parking lot, they found a piece of Toledo's rail history buried underneath.
The article mentioned here provides a little history of the interurban lines that connected Toledo to the rest of Ohio and parts beyond.

I remember an old rail road that went down Starr Ave. in Oregon in the early 1960's. My mother would take me to Starr & Coy and catch it to get down town. If I remember correctly, it dropped us off behind Tiedke's, then we'd catch it at the same place and take it home. I can't remember if it was an electric train. You may want to check in to this.

As far as I remembered, in the midst of the year 1908, Toledo was the fastest growing city in the USA because of its transportation system. Too bad all the streetcars and rail systems are all gone.
