Nickel Plate Berkshire 765 made an appearance in Northwest Ohio on Friday as she was on her way from Ft. Wayne to Bellevue. This is the beginning of a very busy summer for her as the Norfolk Southern has an extensive schedule of trips for their employees to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the formation of the current company. You will note that the diesel locomotive behind the 765 is painted in traditional Nickel Plate colors & scheme. This is also part of the company's year-long celebration
Their extensive schedule will take them over the famed Horseshoe Curve in mid August. If all goes well, we plan to be there and will hopefully have some very good pictures to share upon our return.
