Pretty amazing performances at last night’s regional meet in Tiffin.
The boys team race went down to the wire with L-B edging Bluffton 67-66 for the team title. I thought the Pirates might break the Eagles’ string of championships but they fell just short. Since 1999 an area team has won the Division III boys regional title in the Northwest District. With the Eagles returning much of their team, I’d imagine they’ll be one of the teams to beat next year too.
In the girls meet Bonnie Stratton was the Toast of Tiffin. She put on a dominating display in the sprints.
We’ll have plenty more on the state track meet later in the week. In the meantime here are some newslinks from today concerning regional meets around NW Ohio.
