"Who am I? Why am I here?"
-James Stockdale
With those words, the 1992 Vice Presidential Debate kicked off with a roaring start. I love this moment...not because I thought poorly of the man, but because I thought it represneted something new and refreshing: honesty. Even though Stockdale and Perot did not win the election, it can be argued that they were a serious influence (getting 19% of the vote can do that for you).
Tonight, we seem to be headed toward a similar moment. With Obama/Biden stretching out their lead, and everyone questioning McCain's selection for VP, Palin might be asking that same question. What can she do? Be honest and be herself - don't sugarcoat anything, because a bunch of fluff isn't going to cut it this year. Tonight's debate should be entertaining (on so many levels). When it is over, be sure to jump over to the right and take the latest poll (it will be active at 10p ET).
Answer to yesterday's TV question: Pushing Daisies. This was one of the few shows I always tuned if to watch last year, and I am hapy that ABC brought it back. If you haven't seen it, take a chance on it; if the FCPolitGal and I both enjoy a show, it must be really good (or very strange) - either way, you're sure to be entertained.
While wondering whether I will be able to watch tonight's debate without wanting to turn the TV off (probably not)...

PS - I hope you enjoy the new look. I was just in the mood for a temporary change, and pumpkin orange seemed the way to go.

I cannot get the time on the poll to work correctly, so I just made it live. I'm counting on you to watch, listen to, or read about the debate before you vote.
