I was also very impressed with the educational aspects outlined.

All day kindergarten is something that I have always been passionate about. I myself attended all day kindergarten, and was shocked that half-day kindergarten even still existed for my younger sister. Half a day may not seem like much of a difference, but it can set students back indefinitely.

I have a similar view about year around schooling. After all, it seems to work for other countries extremely well. Many students tend to forget what they have learned over summer break, and this could easily be prevented.

Education is something that everybody needs, and the way that teachers present the material many times decides if it is effective or not. From personal experience, the more that teachers get excited about what they are teaching, the more students want to learn and even enjoy it. If all teachers do, however, is sit in a chair and toss books at students telling them to read chapter such and such for tomorrow, students will not learn anything, and may even loose information they previously knew. By making sure that our schools have good teachers, the information that students obtain will be even more useful then before.
