I do agree that I can taste the difference between free-ranged/home-grown chicken, and the stuff they sell in the store as "chicken".

I also laugh when I see eggs supposedly from "vegetarian" chickens. What kind of chicken is a vegetarian...other than one that never sets a foot on the ground and comes across a bug?? That's a sad life.

I have no problem with using farm-raised animals as food, as long as they are raised humanely in a natural setting, and killed humanely. God gave us the animals for our use, and I believe "food" is a legitimate use.

I am currently learning about factory farms in one of my classes. It is a very sad sight to see. The animals are treated terribly. They have no room to move anywhere and they are in a hot, smelly building and sometimes never see sunlight, unless they are lucky and can get by a window.

I am very much against factory farms. It is not healthy for anyone to eat something that sits in a barn and practically never walks its entire life. They get diseases regularly and have antibiotics pumped into then almost daily. It's disgusting to think that humans can be this cruel to animals, but people aren't willing to pay high prices for meat. Factory farming keeps meat prices lower.
