Full disclosure: I once talked to a friend on my cell phone while I was en route to work.
I know. Stupid.
At least I don't have the dexterity to text and drive. How is that even done? Don't bother telling me.
And I never have felt that I needed to talk to anyone right NOW.
Yet I am reminded of a trip years ago as I drove though Columbus.
It was very busy day, traffic wise.
I was stopped at a busy intersection when there was an incredible sight.
A motorist traveling through an intersection was driving with one hand. The other hand held a paperback book, perched against a steering wheel, that she was reading.
I gasped.
How does anyone have the attention span to comprehend a novel and manage to handle an automobile?
Stupid...
